Caitlyn & Aaron – Searle’s Castle New Hampshire Wedding Photography
Windham NH is where I grew up – never in my wildest dreams did I picture myself growing up to be a wedding photographer but there were many times growing up I pictured myself as being a princess. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a town where a there was a Castle right down the street. I had never been inside the castle as a little girl, so when I stepped inside of it for the first time on October 25, 2015 it was as if my dreams where coming to life, but as I started to get ready to photograph a wedding fit for royalty indeed.
Searle’s Castle is absolutely stunning – with three floors to explore – I was glad I got there earlier to than the bride and groom to wander around the magnificent grounds. Inside the castle, is filled with huge marble fireplaces, stunning wood work, and beautifully lit rooms that the bride and groom were able to get ready in.
Shortly after exploring the castle, Cait and Aaron arrived ready to get into the formal wear. Cait’s dress from Modern Bride was fit for a princess – a white ballroom gown with lots of tulle and just a touch of sparkle. Her bridesmaids wore stunning dark purple floor length dresses from Modern Bride as well. Cait’s mom worked closely with a florist at Garden Party who was able to source beautiful pink peonies, dahlias, and chartreuse hydrangeas for her bouquet. The groomsmen looked absolutely dapper in dark blue and black tuxedos.
The ceremony was held outside on the castle grounds. Aaron was overcome with emotion the first time he saw his bride walk down the aisle with her mom and dad. Cait’s sisters surprised them during the ceremony when they sung a few songs during the ceremony. After they said, “I do” and sealed their vows with a kiss – they walked down the aisle together for the first time with huge smiles as husband and wife.
The staff at Searle’s castle had a limo so we could drive around the Castle grounds to take photos of the newly weds. The beautiful yellow and orange New Hampshire foliage was at it’s peak which made for some stunning photos!
Soon it was time for the reception – Caitlyn and Aaron walked into the ceremony to the song “Shut up and Dance” by Walk the Moon which was perfect to get the party started! They then danced to their first song which was a compilation of a few of the couple’s favorite songs. Their gorgeous cake was made by Jacque’s pastry – each layer was a different kind of delicious cake such as hazelnut and salted caramel – YUM.
Caitlyn and Aaron – thank you so much for entrusting us to capture your wedding day!
