I remember the day I posted an Insta story about how I wish I could photograph a Halloween Wedding – just a few days later I received Katy’s inquiry and was over the moon stoked she chose me. For her engagement session we envisioned something woodsy and magical – and Hamilton House & Vaughan Woods offered just that!
Vaughan Woods is a gorgeous dog friendly park that is adjacent to a small pond! It has a ton of walking trails and the forest is covered with ferns (if you end up visiting here make sure you bring some bug spray!) Here we played with the slices of light coming through the forest and managed to set off a smoke bomb without causing a forest fire! Always a win!
Hamilton House is just a short 2 min drive from the woods (I think you might be able to even walk to it from Vaughan Woods if you don’t mind trekking in mud!). Be warned if you do decide to come here for photos you will need a permit. The grounds are well maintained and have gorgeous gardens to enjoy! Definitely a gem of a location to discover!
