If we know anything about the 2023 wedding season, then you know it was a rainy one! And Heather and Alec’s wedding at The Mansion on Turner Hill a wedding venue just 40 minutes north of Boston, was no exception to this! It literally rained 99% of the day and if it wasn’t raining – there was a light mist!
Thankfully, Heather and Alec booked The Mansion on Turner Hill which has so many beautiful indoor photo opportunities! The Mansion on Turner Hill is a grand estate perfect for a wedding with its beautiful gardens, ornate carved wood, historic lion statues, grand marble fireplaces – you get what I’m saying, this place is a wedding photographers dream! We chose to do their first look on their grand stair case and then roamed around the inside of the property for their rest of the portraits – and trust me when I say there are so many hidden beautiful spots to photograph at this wedding venue!
Heather chose to wear a beautiful satin gown that had a jewelry piece attached to it while Alec chose to go with the classic tux! The whole day had the undertones of a Great Gatsby wedding from their attire, to the venue, to everyone dressing in black tie attire!
Heather and Alec decorated their reception in white flowers with pops of greenery with lots of candles. It was the perfect blend of timeless, romantic, and modern. After speeches, we were able to go outside for just a few moments to take advantage of The Mansion on Turner Hill’s lush European inspired gardens. The moment we got back inside it started raining again!
Once dinner was done – both the bride and groom danced with their parents and as soon as that was finished the band came on and kept their dance floor energetic all night long! They chose to end their wedding with a ribbon exit and rode away to their after party!
