In an age of online dating and swiping left/right in hopes of finding that special someone, its refreshing to find a success story in the mix of horror stories I hear from those around me. I first met Lauren last summer in a local cafe to sit down and chat about more details of her upcoming spring wedding. I loved the industrial chic vibe she was going for and knew that The Rivermill in Dover, NH would absolutely make her vision come to life. After chatting about details for a while, I wanted to know more about Chris and how they met. With a slight smile, she answered, “Tinder”. As amusing as it is in this day and age to find the person you are going to spend the rest of your life with on an app, fate definitely had a role to play in the way these two met. You see, Chris had just moved to the area and Lauren had just moved back. There was a huge snow storm and Lauren was invited over her friends house in Melrose (a few towns away from her then home in downtown Boston) to watch a football game. So in the middle of commercials, she set her radius to “One Mile” and their she saw Chris for the first time.
Fast forward a few years later, Chris proposed in the backyard of their new home before they headed out to a music festival. Below are a few of my favorite images from the day <3
