The Barn At Silver Oaks Estate Maine Wedding // E+J
Erica and Joe first met at a restaurant while she was working as a waitress and he was working as a bar tender – classic. A few years later, Joe proposed to Erica on top of Camelback Mountain while they were skiing. As soon as they got engaged Erica decided that she wanted to get married in her hometown of Grey, Maine where recently she found out they were renovating a barn into a wedding venue. As soon as she stepped foot into The Barn at Silver Oaks Estate and saw the gorgeous chandeliers and white drapery – she knew that this was the place where they would say “I do.” The barn is surrounded by beautiful lush forests and has twinkling string lights hung in front of it that give it such a lovely ambiance at night.
On their wedding day, Erica wanted to do a first look with Joe on the lake and dock where she played as a kid. It was so special that she incorporated places that had so many memories attached to it on her wedding day. I also loved her fitted sweetheart cut lace boho dress that she wasn’t afraid to climb on top of a dead tree in for some woodsy photos. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight when Erica walked down the aisle and watching Joe dance his way back down the aisle with his new wife in tow was one of my favorite moments of the day. I absolutely adored all the rustic glasses and wild flowers they used to decorate their reception area!
