A Scottish Inspired Wedding In Newport Rhode Island
When I first talked to Dana and Simon about their wedding day proclaimed “I hate bridal shit – I want my wedding to not have the typical wedding feel” And oh boy, did Dana deliver.
They chose to host their wedding in their family home right on the water in the stunning Newport Rhode Island. She chose to wear a stunning pants suit, Simon and his groomsmen chose to wear kilts, and they rocked out all night to an ACDC cover band – and when it started raining they just danced harder!
My favorite moments from the day was:
– Seeing the men figuring out all the pieces that goes with wearing a Kilt
– Simon and Dana’s first look – mostly Simon’s reaction to what Dana was wearing
– Their thoughtful ceremony and bag pipe processional
– Smoke bomb pics
– Watching the rain fall during their first dance and instead of panicking, they just leaned in and embraced it
