Ogunquit is a special place for me as I have been going there ever since I was a child. I have photos of my Dad carrying me on his shoulders as he walked along the beach and now 30 years later I am so lucky I get to live just 20 minutes away from it!
I am also lucky that Katie and Tom decided to have a micro wedding in Ogunquit at the Anchorage Inn and chose me to capture it!
We started the day with some getting ready photos and since it was late in 2020 Katie only had immediate family there but had her friends on FaceTime while she was getting ready. Tom & Katie decided to do a first look before their ceremony and then we continued with portraits along the rocks of the marginal way! Katie chose to wear an a-line chiffon dress that the wind played with all day (in the best ways!) and she got her dried floral bouquet from Dearest Rachel in NYC where they live!
Katie chose to have rugs and papas grass to add some boho accents to her ceremony at the Anchorage Inn. Tom’s sister officiated the ceremony and after we decided to do a group photo of everyone there (also I don’t know why that group photo is crooked but I promised when I delivered the images it had a straight horizon line!). Tom’s mom gifted Katie an heirloom ring after the ceremony which was such a beautiful moment!
We then got in the car and headed to one of Katie’s favorite spots in Wells, Maine (about at 10 minutes drive away) where her family vacationed growing up. I love that their wedding day schedule allowed for them to do this because it makes those images that much more special! As you can tell it was cloudy ALL day and I told Katie & Tom that if they were patient I had a feeling the sun was going to break just at the horizon but it would only be for a minute or two. We waited, and the sun did just that giving us some truly spectacular images. I am so lucky my couples have so much trust in me!
We then headed back to the Anchorage Inn where I documented Tom & Katie cutting their cake before I left so they could enjoy dinner with their families.
