Sample Wedding Timeline with First Look

Wedding days can be hectic but having a plan in place well before your day and letting everyone know where they need to be and at what time avoids confusion. When ever a potential client reaches out to us and schedules a discovery call, we give them a sample timeline so when they are looking at pricing and packages they have a clear idea of their wedding day and how many hours they will truly need.

That being said here is a sample wedding timeline with a first look for Sasha and Luke’s wedding which took place in the early fall and they got ready in a hotel about 15 minutes from their venue where both the ceremony and reception was taking place. We set the first look about 2.5 hours before the ceremony just to give us time for wedding party and family photos and had a little cushion time in case anything was running late. We then ended photos 30 minutes before the ceremony so none of the guest would see Sasha & Luke before the ceremony began!

Sometimes couples like to exchange private vows during their first look as you’ll see in some of the photos below! This really helps with those couples who have a little bit more nerves on their day but still want express their feelings to their partner! And we usually find that couples get more emotional photos out of private vow readings and first looks!

2:00 – Sasha gets in her wedding attire
2:15 – Head to venue

3:00 – Luke’s Groomsmen Pictures (Group and Individual with Luke)
3:10 – Sasha’s Bridesmaid Pictures (Group and Individual with Sasha)

4:00 – Photos of Sasha & Luke Together
4:30 – Relax before ceremony // Alex gets detail photos of ceremony space and reception
