It’s always an honor to photograph a wedding but to photograph another wedding photographers wedding is next level – especially when they decide to elope during peak foliage on top of Foss Mountain in New Hampshire at sunset. The rolling mountainside, the crisp air, a couple in love/ willing to get creative for photos, the perfect weather and the gorgeous fall foliage, & we created images that were just MAGIC!
Matt & Breonna, adventurous at heart (and originally wanting to tie the knot in South Africa), decided to elope on the top of a mountain. We met at the base of the mountain in a dirt parking lot and started taking images as we hiked up! The hike isn’t too long or hard but there were plenty of stops along the way up to create images with the light that was filtering through the autumn trees. Once we got to the top, they exchanged vows with the breathtaking view of the White Mountains as their backdrop.
Breonna wore a stunning long veil that billowed in the wind, adding an extra touch of drama to the already breathtaking setting. Her white and green bouquet was simple yet elegant, perfectly complementing the natural surroundings. I loved that they were willing to get into the trees and lay down in the ferns to create images and honestly – I will never stop posting these!
As the sun began to dip below the horizon, the couple shared a romantic moment, basking in the golden hour light. The rolling mountain views were truly stunning, and I was so grateful to be able to capture this special moment in such a beautiful location!
An autumn mountain top elopement in New Hampshire is an incredible way to celebrate love and adventure. It’s a reminder that sometimes the most beautiful things in life are found in the simplest moments, surrounded by the natural beauty of the world around us.
