Alden Castle Boston Winter Wedding
Planning a winter wedding in New England can be tricky since the weather is basically unpredictable until 24 hours before and even then conditions can change in an instant. Lauren & Colin were unbelievably lucky though that their winter wedding in Boston was sunny and 50 degrees. Six and a half years ago, Lauren and Colin met in Portsmouth NH outside a very well known local bar called TJ’s and since they have enjoyed traveling across several continents together, hiking, biking, but most of all just enjoying each other’s company on the couch after a long day at work.
I was so stoked to be chose to document their day since they decided to get ready at one of the most raddest hotels in Boston – the VERB. The Verb is located right near Fenway and is adorned with modern decor, fun murals, loads of neon LED signs, and of course everything related to good music. We decided to have their first look at the Verb and use their pool/patio area which had a great back drop of string patio lights and different colored stain glass windows.
After first look, we headed to their venue Alden Castle which was just a short 5 minute drive away. I asked Lauren why she chose Alden Castle for their wedding and she said “Google led us to Alden Castle. We love the vintage feel – white walls, dark floors, and the space available for cocktail, ceremony.” The Castle is gorgeous and located right in downtown Boston – which besides having gorgeous architecture one of my favorite features of the venue is it also comes with a parking garage (if you have driven and had to park in Boston – we all know how golden that feature is)!
Below are my favorite images from their day!
