South African Safari Engagement Session at Rain Farm Game Lodge

I have been to South Africa 6 times in the past year and each time while I am out on Safari I always think how epic it would be to photograph a wedding in the bush or even an engagement session. So this last time while I was out there, I put up a post on my instagram and asked if any couples in South Africa would be interested in a complimentary engagement session! I am so thankful Tevania DM’d me! This was actually where her fiancĂ©, Justin, proposed to her a few months prior! (I literally had no idea!)

Rain Farm is a beautiful and lush game lodge located just on the outskirts of Durban South Africa. It has gorgeous luxury tented accommodations and hosts dozens of private events and weddings there each year. I chose Rain Farm as the location of the photography session because it is close to the city of Durban, is a game lodge, but it has the benefit of having no predators on their property so we were allowed to traverse pretty much everywhere without worrying that we may be a snack for a lion or leopard! Rain Farm has gorgeous rolling hills and herds of zebra, impala, and kudu roaming around freely! We were also lucky to have two of their 5 giraffes make a cameo in some of the photos! To go to the various locations and have animals in the shots, we were lucky enough to have one of their off road cars and rangers drive us around and stop where ever we wanted!

Here are my favorite images from the shoot!
