When Patrice messaged me on instagram saying she was planning a wedding with a spooky glam halloween theme, I was all in and was hoping she would choose me to photograph her wedding! Halloween is 100% my favorite holiday and whenever I am lucky enough to photograph weddings with a spooky glam or halloween theme to them I truly thrive.
We started the day at the Nylo Hotel in Warwick Rhode Island which has a matching industrial vibe to the venue. I got SO excited the moment I saw Patrices’ Rue De Seine lace Avril boho dress and wedding day details which consisted of a coffin ring box and invitations with spider webs on them! Patrice wanted a dress that made a statement but didn’t want anything sparkly or with tulle and the Avril dress did just that! I also loved that she wore a black jeweled crown!
After getting ready photos, Patrice and Chris had an emotional first look and then we continued with wedding party and a few more couples portraits around the Nylo hotel before heading to the venue. Patrice and Chris chose then venue because they wanted an industrial space that could host a great party that didn’t feel too wedding-y!
After her night time outdoor ceremony, all the guest headed into the reception space. Their reception space was decorated with golden skulls, a touch of baby’s breath florals, a neon sign, a black and gold wedding cake, and Patrice even hired a tarot card reader for her guests to enjoy throughout the reception!
Patrice & Chris – Thank you for hiring me and being such a fun couple – one of my most favorite memories from the day was during your vows when you told Chris that you can wait to spend this lifetime together and then be ghosts together in the next <3
